Resist the temptation to overwork
Proverbs 23:4-5 says, “Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.”
We ask God to help us resist the temptation to overwork ourselves and put our faith in the amount of money we make. Please help us to remember what is of enduring importance and value. Protect us from a life spent chasing after wealth, and instead grant us the stamina to pursue you as our ultimate goal.
