TODAY’S DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
I Will Never Leave You Nor Forsake You
For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
When we are in the thick of the fight, it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that God has abandoned us, turned His back on us, and left us defenceless.
One of the most effective strategies employed by Satan is to try to persuade us that the Lord has turned his back on us and that he no longer loves us. In contrast to the one who lies at every opportunity, the Word of God is unwavering in its consistency and reliability. He will never desert or abandon us in any way.
The gift of salvation includes the assurance of having an eternal companion. God is the one who created us, and because of that, He will never forget us, just as a nursing mother could never forget her precious infant (Isaiah 49:15). He has written both of our names on the palm of His hand, serving as a permanent reminder of our connection to one another.
Do not be disheartened when you are unable to hear His voice in the midst of the conflict’s cacophony and confusion; this is not a sign that you should abandon hope. Continue to move closer and closer to Him. Put your ears in tune with His instructions. Maintain your adherence to the most recent instructions that He has given you.
Do not let the fact that you cannot observe God at work depress you. He has not abandoned you in any way. He is waging war on your behalf unseen and unseen, behind the scenes and beyond your sight. When the time is right, He will show you how His hand has orchestrated the events that led to your deliverance.
Be careful not to believe the falsehoods that the adversary spreads. He will be with you to the very end of this age and to the very ends of the earth.
