The Peace that Jesus Brings

The peace that Jesus came to bring was not the peace of appeasement, nor was it the peace of compromise and conformity; rather, the peace that Jesus came to bring was the peace of the kingdom of God. It was a peace on a spiritual level. Since the world does not possess any peace of its own, it cannot give any to other people. It engages in conflict for the sake of peace, it engages in negotiation for the sake of peace, and it engages in political manoeuvring for the sake of peace, but there is no permanent peace in the world. Those who place their faith in Jesus, however, will be filled with peace. You are considered to be in His camp if you have been granted peace by Him. If, however, you do not accept it, then you are working against Him. His peace can be received by anyone who is willing to open themselves up to it.
