I Have Faith
Where exactly does your hope lie?
This certain hope of being saved is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls, connecting us with God himself . . .—Hebrews chapter 6 verse 19 (TLB)
In what do you put your faith and anticipation for the future? Which comes first: the government of your country, the educational system, or some other plan or organisation? My faith and confidence are placed in the One who is seated at the right hand of the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ. I have faith, and I am certain that I will spend eternity in heaven. And assistance from the presence of God is available to me right now, in this very moment, in this very life.
Imagine that we did not have the Bible. Imagine for a moment that there was no cross, no way of being saved, and no empty tomb. Imagine that we had nothing to cling to other than the advice to “do what you can,” “try to patch it up,” or “do your best.” But there is still a chance for us. There is a plan for the future, as well as a plan for the redemption of the past. Reading the New Testament can be very exciting because it is so full of hope and expectation for the future. And God cares about you in a personal way!
