Luke 11:9 – Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Sometimes, praying almost doesn’t seem like it’s worth it. It’s possible that we don’t think our problem—be it illness or injury—is severe enough to require God’s intervention. Other times, when the doctor predicts a lengthy recovery or a brief time left in your life, it seems like praying wouldn’t help anyway.
However, there is never a situation where praying would be fruitless. No matter what, God wants to hear your prayers. You are mistaken if you believe that your problem is not severe enough to bother the All-Powerful. Cast all your worries on St. Peter, even the little ones, he said. Additionally, you are mistaken if you believe that your problems are too big to solve. If God so chooses, a diagnosis can be reversed. But more importantly, he can give us the fortitude and bravery to confront it.
Faith in him is what we most need. We need to have the assurance of his forgiving love in Christ Jesus in all situations, no matter how big or small. We should constantly pray for this as well as any physical blessings. Our prayers will never go unheard by God. He has promised it to us. And he will always provide us with the best response.
