Praying for Change
Because our Father delights in showering us with wonderful presents, he gladly complies with certain requests almost immediately. For the fulfilment of other requests, it may first be necessary to set aside some time or make certain preparations. We, on the other hand, need to have patience and perseverance, keeping in mind that prayer changes the heart of a believer.
We should have faith that the Lord, regardless of his response or timing, has only the best in store for those who are His children. This indicates that we may not receive what we are requesting, but rather something even more desirable. God is the only one who completely understands the desires of each heart and how to best satisfy those desires.
Prayer is the most effective instrument we have for influencing the world around us, and it is always at our disposal. And as we give attention, time, and perseverance to conversation with our Father, we find that there is no limit to what He can achieve in the hearts of people and the circumstances in which they find themselves.
