TODAY’S DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
Psalm 31:15 – My times are in your hands
A good time to be in the hospital doesn’t seem to exist. You need to be completing other tasks. Such a disruption to your life was unnecessary.
Nevertheless, here you are. You have to put everything else “on hold” while you are in bed. We are aware of God’s love and generosity. He will undoubtedly give us the courage to deal with situations like this. We are confident that, as the Bible promises, he will use this for our benefit.
But couldn’t he have done it when it would have been more practical?
We make plans for our days and weeks, and we believe that we have thought of everything. Perhaps we fail to recognise that God is the one who actually determines our schedules. He determined when we were born. He determines when we will pass away. And throughout our lives, he decides what will happen to us and when it will happen.
We can be confident that everything will turn out for the best if God is in control of our lives. With God, everything must take place when and how he pleases in order for good to result. Time spent in a hospital bed is included in this.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to have the patience and faith to follow your plan for my life rather than my own. Amen.
