TODAY’S DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Matthew 28:20 – Surely I will be with you always

I long for my room! I long for my bed! My TV and stereo are missed! My pet, my dolls, and my toys are all missing! I miss my parents so much! I don’t like it here at all!

Being in a hospital isn’t always enjoyable, is it? Perhaps you hurt, which is unpleasant. You might be lonely. You might even be a little frightened. It’s not easy being away from home at a time like this. When visiting hours are over, your parents, relatives, and friends usually have to return home. And being here alone is not enjoyable.

However, you are not alone. Even after visiting hours, someone stays by your side (and the nurses say nothing about it!). When the doctors need to take you for tests, therapy, or even an operation, he travels by himself with you. He is always by your side.

Jesus is here. He loves you so much that in addition to dying on the cross to pay for your sins, he also made a promise to always be by your side, especially at times when you need him most, like right now. He won’t abandon you. He’ll look after you. He will assist you. Don’t be afraid. He’s here.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank you for promising to stay with me. Please don’t ever let me forget that you are here. Amen.
