TODAY’S DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Psalm 31:15 – My times are in your hands

What makes things frustrating? Consider the possibility that you might not have needed to visit the hospital. You might not have been involved in the accident if you had arrived fifteen seconds later. A week or two ago, the bacteria in the air might not have reached you if you had been six feet away from where you were standing. You might not have experienced the heart attack or the stroke if you had lost a few pounds or avoided eating certain foods.

If…if…if! With all those “ifs,” you might lose your mind. We have a superior solution. We can be confident that God is in control of our circumstances. He determined that this should be permitted to occur to you at this time as part of his loving plan for your life. He had a motive.

We might not always be aware of this reason. He may also use them to build our faith, to warn us away from sin, or to give us the opportunity to share with others how our Lord sustains us through difficult times. You can relax; there’s a reason. He died for your sins because of God’s love. You were initially brought here by the same love.

Prayer:

Lord, please help me to always keep in mind that you brought me here for a good reason by your love. I thank you for it even though I’m not sure what it is. Amen.
