Let your light shine before men
“Let your light shine before men.” -Matthew 5:16
Jesus exhorts his followers to shine as lights for him. It is required in the shadowy world, including in hospitals. And as his redeemed and enlightened children, we have much to contribute to the conversation.
Our loved ones might benefit from hearing that we put our faith in God. It’s possible that other patients are desperate to hear that there is hope and friendship out there. A patient who is calm and understanding will not only be appreciated by the medical staff but also by the other patients.
Perhaps the reason God has us here on earth is to cultivate a faith that is strong even when we are confined to bed. Shine brightly in all that you do!

Dear Lord, I ask that the love and grace that you have shown me may be seen by others. Amen.
