The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything
“The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philemon 4:5-7
Will it be painful? Will it be of any use? Is there a significant danger? Will I be able to live? These kinds of questions cause anxious moments for both us and the people closest to us prior to surgery.
The GREAT PHYSICIAN says, “Don’t be anxious. Bring all of your questions and concerns to me. I am able to and will fulfil every requirement. Through my Son Jesus, who purchased you with his own blood, I am overflowing with grace toward you.
Prayer:
Father of grace, give me the courage to trust in the powerful promises you have made. Amen.
