The Gift of Forgiveness
Colossians 3:13 (NIV)
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
Two friends, Alex and Chris, had a falling-out. Bitterness consumed them until Chris decided to forgive Alex, mirroring the Lord’s forgiveness. Their friendship was restored, teaching them the transformative power of grace.
Forgiveness is a gift we’ve received from God. Just as He forgave us, let’s extend grace and reconciliation to those who have wronged us. In forgiveness, we find healing and restoration.
Prayer:
Merciful God, help us forgive as you have forgiven us. Release us from the burden of resentment and bitterness. May we extend grace and reconciliation to those who have wronged us, reflecting your love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
