TODAY’S DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
Matthew 14:27 – “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
They say that only fools have no fear. However, it seems that fear and uncertainty have taken control of my life recently. Maybe what terrifies me the most is this sense of helplessness. I have no control over how things are now or how they will be in the future.
What a joy it is to hear my Savior say to me when I’m feeling fearful, “Take courage! It is I. Be not afraid. He can soothe my worries with just a word. He gently reminds me of his tender love and compassion. How quickly I forget that my Lord controls all of the winds and waves, as well as heaven and earth! He is in complete control of everything. Jesus can change water into wine, suffering into comfort, and death into life.
He tells me not to be afraid, just as he did to Peter years ago. My issues are known to Jesus. Jesus is able to provide relief. And I am confident that he will cure all of my ailments when it is best for me. What’s to fear? I have Jesus by my side!

Dear Savior, keep your promises in mind when I quake with fear, and never let me forget your mighty power. Amen.
